I am not the victim of the world I see

Day thirty one – a new month. From the workbook:

The idea should be applied to both the world you see without and the world you see within. In applying the idea, we will use a form of practice which will be used more and more, with changes as indicated. Generally speaking, the form includes two aspects, one in which you apply the idea on a more sustained basis, and the other consisting of frequent applications of the idea throughout the day.

As you survey your inner world, merely let whatever thoughts cross your mind come into your awareness, each to be considered for a moment and then replaced by the next. Try not to establish any thought of hierarchy among them. Watch them come and go as dispassionately as possible. Do not dwell on any one in particular, but try to let the stream move on evenly and calmly, without any special investment on your part. As you sit and quietly watch your thoughts, repeat today’s idea to yourself as often as you care to, but with no sense of hurry.

This like meditation where you can allow thoughts come and just observe your thoughts without any judgments.

It is 4:30 in the morning and I just did the first longer exercise of the day (there are two of these  in the morning the other at night) and near the end I felt very happy and had a warm glow in the pit of my stomach.

In the gym after exercising I went to the sauna and did a great meditation. At the depth of deep meditation I started  repeating I’m not the victim of the world I see. It felt good. All sorts of negative thoughts came up but were deflected by the thought for today.

It is now 10:30 in the evening. I kept forgetting the thought for today but remembered the thought for the day before yesterday: God is in everything I see.

That worked out fine. It was a good day. I can tell since I started doing the workbook to A Course in Miracles each day has been better than if I had not been doing it.

So anyway I’m about to do the evening exercise –

Not much happened. I yawned a lot. I have been up since 4:00 a.m. so I suppose I’m a tad tired. I saw some nice swirling colours in my minds eye (could be because of the tiredness). The main point is that whatever goes on I’m happily accepting it as I am not the victim of the world I see…
