The miracle of hope
Before I write today’s post on the exercise I wish to write this one about my observation so far.
Before I started A Course in Miracles workbook I at time despaired. Four or was it five years ago I lost my lost job as a senior software engineer and I had been drifting and not getting anywhere fast.
I could not find a job or new profession. George Bush was talking about needing two years of community college to compete asnd yet there is no room for me in the US job market with five degrees including a doctorate and about twelve years of post secondary education and an IQ in the top half percent of the population.
I’m not writing this for you to feel sorry for me. It’s just that I felt sorry for myself. I felt so bad that a few days after starting the course while the exercises talk about meaningless of our normal consensus reality, I had some suicidal ideation (only ideation – I would not act on stupid things).
Then things changed. My attitude changed. I now have hope. With hope I can think clearly.
It’s as though I wass in the dark and now I see a little light.
