no coincidences – all is synchronicity

I’m glad I’m sixty two (sixty three in two weeks) and not twelve. If I were twelve in today’s crazy world I’d be drugged for being ADHD. Anyway, I can multitask and read five six books simultaneously without any worries.

One of the books I’m reading at this moment is a Kabbalah book called, “Seeing God.”

I suppose in reality there are no coincidences – all is synchronicity. I have heard that if you pass within fifteen feet of anyone, “You were meant to meet.”

Anyway, I have been having some challenges understanding the concept of vision in A Course in Miracles and this book explained it – except now I have lost it.

Here is a quote from the book which complements the work I have done so far in ACIM workbook:

“Our assumptions are the greatest obstacles to seeing reality. We are stuck in our interpretations of it, and we assume that our way of seeing it is the way it truly is. And rather than seeing the allness, we shrink it down to our level and see instead a narrow slice of allness rather than what it really is – everything.”

The author of the book (Rabbi David Aaron) continues to write that our greatest impediment to seeing the Ultimate Reality is our words and preconceptions. We put each thing into its own category and divide Ultimate Reality into bits and pieces to make sense of it but it is a limited sense based on the past. We never know how to look at things with fresh eyes – with the eyes of a child.

As Jesus said, the way to the kingdom of heaven is to see the world with those fresh eyes of a child.
