My name is Javad Hashtroudian. I have a doctorate in clinical hypnotherapy. Some people cannot remember Javad so I use my initial (J really not Jay) but anyway one of my clients started calling me doctor Jay so I got this URL. As well as my private practice I give seminars on many subjects including weight management, manifestation of your desires, relationships, stress management, performance anxiety, improving grades at school, and others as asked for. So in this section I will write about issues that I talk about in my seminars, CDs, ebooks and so on. I'll post links to some audio and things like that.

Use spices in stead of salt

I started rewriting this blog after I had a scare because my blood pressure had become too high for my liking. I used to be a saltoholic. That is to say I would add lots of salt to my food before even tasting it. So I first went cold turkey cutting all added salt for a week. I would check the contents of anything I ate for the salt. That meant cutting out most processed food of every type. Now I can have a little salt but do my best not to add any extra salt. So I add spices and hot sauce in stead of Magi sauce and soy sauce which I used a lot. Those two sauces have huge amount of sodium (salt). The hot sauce I use has some salt but not as much. At other times I add plain hot chili powder which has no salt.

I have also taken to eating more bananas. They are a great source of potassium as well as fiber and other nutrients. Remember it is the potassium/sodium balance which allows your nervous system and other part of your body to work.
